“Everyone deserves a happy childhood, at any time in their lives.”

Biodanza means Dance of Life. It is a dance of heart and freedom from South America. It's a system that integrates music and movement; it also makes possible to establish an authentic relationship with yourself, with other people and with the environment. Biodanza creates experiences of intense awareness of being alive in the here-and-now.

Existing or absent, the figure of Mother and Father are the most intimate realities for most of us, born and raised in the western universe. Since the beginning of our human journey, they structure and stimulate the concept of becoming who we are, from them we inherit values, tendencies, permissions, restrictions, desires, fears and shadows, they are also very powerful agents that, knowing it or not, make the bridge with the archetypal ocean, that heritage belonging to our history as humans. Regardless of cultures and over time, they are very powerful forces that forge the psyche from the beginning of the first breath (perhaps even before)!

We project too much into these beings. They are linked to our deepest and oldest nature, if we had the ability to look back far enough we would see that they are themselves textures made up of threads as old as time and that when this tapestry is unraveled, the Myths and Polarities unfold, we cross the magma of the Great Earth and the infinity of the Great Sky.

In this work, the invitation is to carry out a profound experiential investigation, through the methodology of Biodanza, lovingly diving both into the collective unconscious, approaching the symbols that constitute the base pillars of our Psyche, and through the personal unconscious, where personal memories are tattooed.

Jung said that when we are born we are already very old, because we are extremely connected to the collective unconscious. For him, the divine child archetype represents  essentially the potential future. For Jung the "child" is the symbol of the synthesis of the personality still incomplete, it refers to a psychological state of not knowing, undifferentiated, unconscious and of "coming to be", developing towards autonomy.

We carry in our inner psychological history the need for nourishment and protection for this child and as Alexander Lowen reminds us that it is when we are isolated from the child we once were that we are isolated from the ability to love.

Among Revolutionary Psychologists, Body Therapists, Illustrious Sociologists, Anthropologists, Sexologists, Philosophers, Mythologists, Storytellers and poets these are the main “genius” references that are present in this creation (so far): Carl Jung, James Hillman, S. Freud, Franz Marie-Louise Von Franz, Alberto Pereira Filho, Elisabeth Badinter, Erik Erikson, Arthur & Libby Colman, James Hollis, Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Raissa Cavalcanti, Erich Neumann, Alexander Lowen, Rumi.

Biodanza is a delicate but deeply transforming work on consciousness, based on working with the body, body movement and dancing.

Feeling the connection with your body, emotions and energy, makes the transformation occur. These experiences are called "vivencias". They allow access to our primal emotions and help with the most natural expression of true self to emerge through movement.

Biodanza creates experiences of intense awareness of being alive in the here-and-now.

Celebrating life is a goal of Biodanza. It stimulates community bounds and makes establishing relationships easier, as well as helps participants regain joy and vitality to celebrate the sacredness of life. It makes a way to feel happy, healthy and more confident, with strengthened self-esteem, also improving the ability to make choices.

Biodanza also reinforces "lineas de vivencia," or lines of vitality within five specific domains: vitality, sexuality, creativity, emotionality and transcendence.

Biodanza is based on psychological and philosophical research, dance anthropology and traditional rituals. One of the teachers explains the origin of the word "biodanza" from the Greek bios meaning life, and from the Spanish danza which means dance.

Workshop is based on personal, direct experience - individually, in pairs, subgroups or in a group of all participants. There is music, movement and dance to enable the creation of harmony and closeness in interpersonal relations.

Rolando Toro Biodanza System is a method that works on every human being’s potential.

It reveals various possibilities and forms of expression to us. It is based on the positive resources of each of us, according to the author's method - the creator of the system, prof. Rolando Toro. Her father is a psychologist, anthropologist, poet and artist from Chile. And since the 1960s, system itself has been distributed in over 30 countries around the world as a method of personal development.

Biodanza draws our attention into building relationships and bonds between people through eye contact. An eye contact is considered as the fundamental base of a beautiful and meaningful communication without words. This also helps to open the heart, transform person's needs and desires and to be ready for new experiences.

• 10 AM – 2 PM BIODANZA
• 2 PM – 4 PM Lunch break & rest
• 4 PM – 7 PM BIODANZA

SUNDAY  (4^th December):

• 9.30 AM – 1 PM BIODANZA
• 1 PM – 3 PM Lunch break & rest
• 3 PM – 6 PM BIODANZA

No experience or dance background is necessary to begin practicing Biodanza and experiencing its benefits. The dance is done barefoot.
