A 4 day retreat inspired by Vision Quests, including 24 hours alone in Nature

People throughout time have gone deep into Nature to seek guidance and wisdom. Today, in a world moving faster and faster, it seems more important than ever to strip back and be wild. When we do this, extraordinary insights reveal themselves to us about who we are and what it’s all about.

This retreat is inspired by traditional Vision Quests and builds up to 24 hours spent on your own in Nature. It begins with three days of prep, including beautiful walks, swimming in lakes, adventures over water and setting up a base for fi res, food and stories.

Over these days, we also share ideas and tools all about opening our senses and being fully ‘present’. We draw on lessons from Native American traditions, ancient Eastern arts and contemporary ideas rooted in mindfulness and the power of staying in the present moment. It is a sensational journey in every sense: through all of the elements; all of the senses; culminating in a journey into your own Self.

We all know when we need to do these things, and we all have reasons to them. The hardest part can be setting off. The best part is seeing what was unexpectedly waiting for you. Program

We will practice meditations and movements inspired by the elements, seek lessons from ancient wisdom traditions, and switch on all of our senses through vivid adventures, both day and night. With each step, exploring the land that has inspired so many great minds and hearts, we bring ourselves to our own essence inside.

This program will take place around a special camp we will make a wild home. At the end of each day, we will light fires, share stories and sit with the stars - or whatever the forest choose to bring us!

The roots to this retreat reach into many sources. Expect to fi nd inspiration from Taoism, Tantra, Buddhism, Native American Wisdom and T’ai Chi and Qi Gong. You will also have the chance new ideas and skills into practice deeply, supported by the extraordinary power of Nature. This all takes place in the most beautiful of practice grounds, preparing you to take new skills back to the real world.

At Way of Nature we run extraordinary retreats and adventures in wild places, helping people find a deeper kind of stillness, balance and purpose in modern life. What we do is unique, combining ‘solo’ immersions in Nature, lessons from ancient cultures, and a healthy dose of adventure, care, and good fun. A powerful antidote to the speed of the 21st Century, our programmes and experiences help many kinds of people make a real difference in their lives.

People have gone into Nature to seek guidance, wisdom and purpose for thousands of years. Our retreats and adventures are about doing this very same thing, in a way fit for modern times. Each of our programmes combines lessons from ancient know-how with what we call a ‘Nature Quest’ – a personal immersion in the wild, lasting between one and four days.

The results of these deep immersions are profound and powerful. Time alone in the wild is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves and, supported by fellow adventurers and a merry camp, few things that can offer such a change in perspective, wonder or transformation in life.

Our programmes are very much inspired by John P. Milton, an ecologist, explorer, author and 21st Century sage. John spent many years studying with elders and teachers from across the Earth’s traditions, and brought this learning together under a Way of Nature process. The key ingredients of this process are very much at the heart of our work. We think they are a great way of bringing in the intelligence of nature and ancient cultures into how we lead our lives today.

VENUE:

The retreat is organized on the land of the Centre of Personal Development „Here and Now” in Nowe Kawkowo in Poland. The centre is situated in the middle of a meadow ( surface 10 ha) surrounded by wild forest and natural hills, with no other buildings around. The surface of the centre private land is 45 ha.
