I trained with teachers such as Osho, Arthur Hull, Frank Natale, Serge Kahili King and others. I have been playing music since I was 12 and produce CDs with various world music artists such as Hamsafar, Prem Joshua, Snatam Kaur, Milarepa, Ashik, Subodha.
As a drummer, music producer and animator, I offer events, seminars, retreats and individual sessions. I mainly work with partners such as Dhwani W. Zapp, Shakya M. Grahe, Harshil Chiostri and others...
My own productions "Forget the Limitations" and "Shamans Return " are widely used in workshops, classes and seminars, as well as at discos and parties. With my bands TranceFormation and The Call Of The Drums, we tour and play all over Europe.
In my shamanic retreats, I create a safe spiritual healing environment for personal insight and growth of inner strength and wisdom. Using ancient rituals and techniques, I invite people to reconnect with Mother Nature's deep wisdom and inner healer, guide and allies.
Workshops
1. SHAMANIC DRUM JOURNEY
The Shamanic Drum journey is a way to travel inside to the sound of the shaman drum. This is an ancient healing journey and can help you to heal old wounds and traumatic experiences from the past. Rishi will guide you into the inside of the earth, to encounter healing places, spiritual allies and helpers to clean and cleanse, find visions and inspiration. The shaman's drum is one of the oldest healing tools and is used in many cultures to create a space for the spirit to heal and cleanse.
Shamanic drum
The shaman drum is the basic tool of the shamanic journey and is often called the "shaman's boat" or "shaman's mount". The shaman does not play the drum - the shaman awakens the spirit of the drum... The monotonous beating of the drum in the rhythm of about 200-220 beats per minute causes a deep meditative state, altered states of consciousness and trance.
2. SHAMAN's RETURN - A shamanic healing meditation
Shamans Return is meditation in five stages in an easy format for the daily practice. It's a great way to shake and dance off the stress and pressure of a nine to five (or even more?) workday.... The music is tribal and rhythmic, transporting. Dynamic drums, percussions and voices support the first two active stages... Then the shamanic medicine drums take you onto their wings. Plus some soothing sounds of Sansula and monochord to get you back.
What is "shamanic", what is a shaman?
To me, a shamanic practice is about generating an atmosphere of healing. From the old language - healing comes from whole - so shamanic practice it is about becoming whole, or: to fill the hole(s). All shamanic ceremony, ritual and prayer, as well as many symbols are conceived as Medicine
Shamanic practice is based on the understanding that we - as human beings - are not separate, but part of nature/existence, and therefore we find everything we need to stay healthy and/or to become whole again - in nature, in ourselves - open and responsible. To me, all healing is about Traumas - wounds of shock that mostly happened in our childhood as well as in war or other turmoil of live.
A shaman is someone with an inner drive to support himself and others to reconnect to their own inner power, to become whole and powerful.
20 years ago I met Frank Natale. Frank was a pioneer in the field of personal growth and self-awareness seminars and helped in many ways to take the shamanic / spiritual approach back into our western culture.
In his trainings I reconnected with many of my long forgotten childhood memories about nature and spirit and got inspired to share this knowledge and the techniques I learned.
I offer trancedance, shamanic journeys, meditations and various other techniques and practices for spiritual growth and self-healing, on my own as well as with various partners. Since I'm a musician, I always use live music for most of the events to support the quality of "being in the moment", in the "Here and Now". Besides - the quality of live music, played on real instruments in real time helps people to step much easier into the "otherworld".
3. SHAMANIC SHAKING - Shamanic Cleansing Meditation
This active shamanic meditation consists of four stages. It starts with Gibberish, a form of expressing emotions through the voice by using sounds with no meaning. The next part is Shaking. Shaking the body is a very natural way to let go of old, energies in the body. By shaking intensely, stuck and rigid muscles can loose it's tightness and become relaxed. The third phase is Dancing. Dancing is another way of becoming more relaxed and loose in the body. Allowing the body to express and letting go of control. The last stage is Silence. Just stand or sitting, watching and witnessing our breath and whatever is. No action, open and quiet, letting go.

4. HO’OPONOPONO RITUAL – Healing power
Ho'oponopono is a ritual of forgiveness from the Hawaiian islands. In the Kahuna tradition, forgiveness is an important part of healing our wounds and traumas. It is important for the soul to let go of old emotional attachments to other beings. When you are able to really forgive others or yourself, the emotional bonds are cleansed and many bourdons can be released and relaxed. This is a very powerful method to heal in a completely unobtrusive way. Rishi will guide you into a meditative space with his voice and the support of Dhwani's soft, delicate soundscapes.
ADDITIONAL EVENTS
Concert “Healing Sound And Gongbath”
Dhwani and Rishi are inviting you on a meditative magical journey with a colourful kaleidoscope of natural sounds to relax and go into a deep healing meditative space.
Our whole body is opening to resonate with the relaxing and healing vibrations. With Flutes, Voices, Tibetan Soundbowls, Gongs and other instruments they create heartful, warm and spacious sound-spheres to invite our cells to resonate with healing, harmonious vibrations. This ancient technique of sound vibrations for healing, in particular so called "overtones", is used since millennia, especially in eastern cultures, and has returned into our consciousness more and more. Enjoy a wonderful evening of deep relaxation. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lay or sit down.
Trancedance – The Map Of The Soul. Shamanic Trance Journey Into Yourself
Trance Dance is an ancient technique to connect with our inner spaces to find healing, clarity and inspiration and to connect with the inner wisdom that lies within each of us.
Through the rhythms of Trance Dance, Rishi Vlote invites you to explore your inner world, heal trauma and release emotional and physical tension. Rishi has been teaching Trance Dance for over 25 years, has recorded many albums, and playing percussion and drums live, he creates a unique workshop atmosphere that allows participants to enter deep processes. Rishi will support you in finding your wild side and the silence of meditation. His records are widely used for conscious dance and self-awareness workshops.
Using unique rhythms, Trance Dance takes participants on a transformative Inner Journey. Ritual trance travel has always been a living part of shamanic and eastern cultures that have existed for thousands of years. The modern approach to Trance Dance combines the richness of ancient rituals with modern, extremely effective techniques.
Trance is about letting go of everything you see, hear, and feel. Experiencing this will open access to spaces within you that you know nothing about. And that's what trans is.
One of the oldest and easiest ways to experience healing states is trance dance. Blindfolded, using the energizing breath technique (Breath of Fire), the Inner Journey begins.
"Close your eyes, put on a blindfold, focus on your intention, start breathing fire, move to the beat of the music - this is how you enter a trance...". Alert, aware and awake, and yet - in the vast inner space where the laws of physics no longer apply - you can meet wild animals, spirits, angels, spiritual allies, healers and Guides... You can meet other beings, find yourself in forest or mountains, in your past or future...
Trust your body, allow yourself to move and express your body - and when the trance ends, you will be calm, full of energy and richer for many impressions..
Trance dancing is one of the oldest ways to reconnect with your inner forces - an empowering, uplifting and energizing experience. It's a great way to get out of old habits and look at your life in a different way.
Dance/trance with eyes closed creates a different focus. The energy that we normally use to look, to gain approval, to try to connect with others, is to look inward, to open up to our emotions and memories. The TranceDance approach is the opposite of traditional dance - there are no steps to learn, no special clothes (except those that are as comfortable as possible). Instead, try to let go of control, let your body move to the rhythm of your inner Power.
Trance Dance is an intercultural phenomenon. The cultures of all continents on our planet have created unique dance forms based on contact with the animal world and elements of nature present in their surroundings. The purpose of such a dance was to connect with the spirit of the sun, moon, spirits of various animals and plants. People believed that through dance rituals, the spirits residing within nature could enhance qualities such as courage, compassion, and bring insights about the future.
Trance dance is primarily focused on the healing process and spiritual development. Through dancing in the dark, participants discover parallel worlds where they find solutions to problems previously experienced as unsolvable.
During the Trance Dance we disappear, we become like ghosts and at the same time we become less attached to the difficulties encountered in everyday life, which means that we can free ourselves from them.
From the very beginning of recorded history, we find evidence of dance. It seems that our original relationship to dance involved worship and healing. Animistic cultures saw nature and all its manifestations as an expression of Spirit. Copying or imitating nature through movement and sound has been a powerful and effective tool to help connect with spirit. This was the beginning of the dance. For thousands of years, spiritual dances have been used to maintain and improve our relationship with the Earth. The imitation of nature in the dance helped to tune in with the vibration of the creator. Dance was synonymous with what we call prayer, worship, and when practiced regularly, it provided physical health and vitality.
"The Dancer Belongs to the Spirit"
In addition, dance was the gateway to the soul or "inner spirit", so to dance in a trance state meant to come into contact with spiritual forces that heal. This is the 'shamanic' perspective on the Trance Dance experience.
