He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Sorbonne in Paris. Feeling that human education does not end with specialist training, Prashantam set off on a journey through the countries of the East and far Asia. Two great masters had a decisive influence on the formation of Prashantam:
"God on Earth" is how Prashantam calls Koku Nishimura, the Japanese Zen master who led the Tani-Ha movement. Prashantam met him in 1973.
- "God in Heaven" - this is how Prashantam calls the enlightened master Osho. Having met him in 1976, Prashantam decided to stay at the Osho commune in Pune.
Prashantam has a holistic approach to his therapy. He trained and specialized in shiatsu with his teacher T. Namikoshi in Japan. Before meeting Osho, he became a monk under Tani-Ha Zen master KoKu NisHimura, from whom he learned the art of Zen - a conscious and spiritual approach to life. Also in Japan, he learned from master Koku Nishimura how to play the Kyotaku - bamboo flute. In 1982, he graduated from the Heartwood massage school in California. After returning to India in 1986, he created his own method of healing, which later became known as Osho Divine Healing Art (O.D.H.A.).
He also worked with many shamans in his life. He has lived in the Philippines, in Japan, with Aborigines in Australia, with indigenous tribes in the Amazon, Brazil, the Andes, and Mexico, with Tibetan doctors in Sikkim. He travelled all over the world, visited Afghanistan, China, Laos, Cambodia, Finland, Russia, India, America, Brazil. He speaks eight languages.
For over 40 years, he has been disseminating his teachings based on his deep knowledge and understanding of life, the result of long and profound spiritual searches and accumulated meditation experiences, and has been passing them on to people around the world.
