1. TANTRA MASSAGE (Freya & John Hawken)

The workshop will provide a taste of how to use tantric massage to create and receive an initiation into tantric energy. We use the massage of the physical body to experience and cultivate our energy body and to realize our expandedness. We will explore pleasure which is not based on contraction and muscular tension and release, but is based on shifting our awareness of ourselves from the physical to the energetic. The energy body gives us the experience of being in our body rather than doing with our energy, which is the key to tantric sexuality and fulfilled living.

What makes a massage tantric?

It is not only a sensually pleasing setting, but more importantly an attitude: of respect, of honouring; to work with energy and consciousness, to touch the spirit through the body.

We created the experience that the body is the temple of the spirit, discovering and honouring the god in each man, the goddess within each woman. We manifest spirit on earth through the physical body experiencing itself as a vehicle for the energy body. Tantra massage works with the energy body and is an initiation into our nature as energy beings, divine beings of fire and light. This initiation or revelation is the true purpose of our sexual energy, the longing to merge with something bigger and more beautiful than our egos.

2. TANTRA AND THEATRE ( with John Hawken and Freya )

John began his journey of spiritual growth at Grotowski’s Theatre Laboratory in Wroclaw. Grotowski’s work with his actors explored how to drop the masks and simply embody our essential humanity. How to meet in the truth of our being without concepts of how we should be. In this workshop John shares some of the realizations of his journey from experimental theatre to tantra. How to find our spontaneity, be conscious with our energy and express it with intent rather than control and censor it. We will explore the similarity between Grotowski’s concept of holy theatre and tantric ritual and sacred space.

Our vehicle will be the lovers masks, the shamanic fire medicine wheel of our eight expressions of sexuality. The workshop will take you into fun and laughter, high seriousness and moments of being deeply touched, and to your edge as we move beyond the limitations of fear and shame.

Freya has been trained in drama at George Brown College in Toronto (Canada). In 2012 she she has co-founded Teatr Praktyczny, an NGO, where she has been practicing applied drama in performing and creating interactive plays in various social and business projects. She has been training and cooperating with John for several years. During this workshop she will share her passion for drama and improvisational experiences combined with her passion for Tantra.

OSHO Active Meditations inspired by various meditations from around the world have been adapted to the needs of modern man by the brilliant mystic OSHO, who combined the benefits of traditional meditation with movement, sound and dance. They differ from the classic meditations in that they have an active part that allows you to release tension and stress through dance, movement, breathing, spinning, laughing, crying or screaming. After such emotional and physical cleansing, you can easily move to the next stages of meditation.

OSHO is one of the most provocative and inspiring spiritual teachers of the twentieth century, his work defies categorization - it concerns comprehensive individual search for spiritual meaning and life purpose to the most pressing social and political issues facing the world today. OSHO aimed to create tools and conditions to support the birth of a new type of human being, whom he called "Zorba the Buddha" - the one who has a foot firmly rooted in the ground and whose hands reach the stars. Throughout his entire life OSHO conveyed a vision that encompassed both the timeless wisdom of the East and the highest potential of Western science and technology. OSHO’s revolutionary contribution in the field of expanding consciousness and inner transformation, continues to grow, reaching seekers of all ages in virtually every country in the world.

What are OSHO Active Meditations?

Active Meditations, treat the body as a portal for relaxation. The body of modern man is full of tension and stress - which frequently prevents entry into a state of deep relaxation. That is why at the beginning of each of the OSHO Active Meditations there is movement (dynamic exercises to release stress from the body – like an earthquake, jumping, dancing, spinning, intense breathing, sound, screaming, KATARSIS) in order to release tensions and deep cleanse of the body. Then, without effort, you can enter the phases of peace, relaxation and deep meditation. Each meditation includes music, which has been specially selected for that particular kind of meditation. OSHO recommended different meditations depending on the purpose, time of day and amount of time you have to meditate.

OSHO developed 8 one hour-long active meditations, short Meditations for busy Busy People, and 112 tantric meditations described in the Book of Secrets.

General Benefits of practicing Active Meditations:

  • Regeneration of the nervous system,
  • Cleaning of the subconscious mind
  • A significant improvement in concentration and memory,
  • Raising the level of energy,
  • Harmonious communication with yourself and the environment,
  • Biological regeneration and rejuvenation of the whole body,
  • Improving the health
